Opera Cup First Round Match: Esfinge def. Ultimo Guerrero
A battle of young vs old. Mind games from Esfinge lead to back-and-forth exchanges that ultimately end with Guerrero coming up short. Guerrero is able to gain the upper hand with a leg sweep and dropkick that sends Esfinge to the outside of the ring. He then follows with a plancha to his opponent. Esfinge is then placed in the crowd, where Guerrero then jumps after gaining a running start. The two make their way back to the ring, where Esfinge tries to regain the advantage he once had. This fails as Ultimo hits him with a Gorebuster from the top rope. A pair of monkey flips from Esfinge leaves Guerrero groggy and open to a springboard splash that only gets a two count. Esfinge’s dominance quickly comes to an end once Guerrero reverses the Luchadore’s hurricanrana attempt from the top rope and powerbombs him instead. This receives a two-count from the ref and applause from the crowd. Esfinge then desperately attempts multiple pinfalls, which all end in a two-count. Frustrated, he heads to the top rope again, where Guerrero hits him with the Guerrero Special, gets the victory, and moves on to the Opera Cup quarter finals.
Opera Cup First Round Match: Zandokan Jr def. Blue Panther Jr:
Zandokan starts with a pop-up powerbomb early on. He then begins to taunt Blue Panther with his Jolly Roger flag. Blue Panther responds with a spinebuster, punches to the head, and a dropkick, which leads to a nearfall. Panther is able to avoid Zandokan’s strikes and sends the pirate outside the ring with a calf kick. Before he can dive to the outside, Panther is struck by a chairshot from Zandokan, a move that upsets the crowd. In the ring, Panther is stunned but not for long and responds with a quick fireman’s carry. He’s able to catch Zandokan in not one, not two, but three tilt-a-whirl backbreakers. Zandokan chest chops Panther while he’s on the apron and then delivers a top rope superplex. As Panther gets to his feet, Zandokan strikes him with a double thrust chop to the chest and then pins him for the win. Post-match, Zandokan steals Panther’s mask, flips off the crowd, and licks the opera cup.
MLW Women’s World Featherweight Title Fight: Shoko Nakajima def. Yuki Kamifuku
A test of strength kicks off the match and turns into Nakajima wrenching the arm of Kamifuku. The match starts to feel very cat-and-mouse-like with the taller Kamifuku chasing the shorter Nakajima in and out of the ring. Eventually, Kamifuku catches her by the tail and lands a big boot, giving her the advantage. With Nakajima draped along the second rope, Kamifuku attempts a running knee before Nakajima leaves the ring. The chase is on yet again as the Featherweight champ flees the challenger for her title. The fight makes its way back inside the ring, where Nakajima lands an impressive springboard Hurricanrana and follows it up with an impressive dropkick. Kamifuku then finds herself draped on the second rope, where she avoids a 619 attempt and replies with a back kick. Right after, she launches with a one-legged springboard kick that only gets a two count. Undeterred, the challenger continues her assault but ends up missing a fameasser attempt. Nakajima trips her up and delivers a twisting elbow maneuver while she’s on the ground. She attempts to attack her further, but is stopped by Kamifuku as she hits her with a kick and a big boot. The long-legged challenger then lands a devastating dropkick in the corner, which results in a failed pinfall attempt. She tries to attack Nakajima but is stopped by a headscissors, which sends her out of the ring. Nakajima then lands a suicide dive that sends both of them crashing into the nearby barricade. Back in the ring, Kamifuku hits Nakajima with a top rope superplex before landing a leg lariat on her. After another failed pin attempt by Kamifuku, Nakajima has a few of her own thanks to some quick reversals. She’s then spiked face-first by a headscissors maneuver from Kamifuku. Nakajima quickly recovers and hits her opponent with a 619 and then hits her with another to the back of the head as she lies against the bottom rope. After a failed pin attempt from Nakajima, Kamifuku lands the fameasser she attempted earlier. She tries it again from the top rope but misses. The match comes to an end when Nakajima hits Kamifuku with two bridging northern lights suplexes, and the ref counts three.
Texas Death Match: Alex Hammerstone def. Matthew Justice
As commentator Joe Dombrowski says, Justice starts the match unloading on Hammerstone with his original weapons: His hands and his feet. His onslaught is stopped once Hammerstone hits him with a back body drop. He then introduces a trash can into the match, which Justice then slams his face into. A suicide dive is then attempted by Justice before Hammerstone slams him in the face with a trash can lid. The two then head into the crowd for some walk and brawl action before Justice disappears behind a curtain and emerges with a table. He delivers a body splash from a stair railing into Hammerstone through the table. They make their way to ringside, where Hammerstone repeatedly strikes Justice with a chain, which makes him bleed. He recovers and tries to trade blows with his opponent before being knocked down again. Hammerstone then retrieves a barbed wire door from beneath the ring, leans it against the apron, and throws Justice into it. Both men find themselves on the ground after a superplex from Hammerstone. Any comeback attempt from Justice is shut down by Hammerstone, who lands move after move. During a pin attempt following a power bomb, Justice instinctively grabs the rope, not remembering that there are no rope breaks. As Hammerstone tries putting multiple tables in the ring, Justice lands a suicide dive on him. He capitalizes on this by putting Hammerstone through a table in a corner of the ring with a Death Valley Driver. He attempts to pin Hammerstone but fails twice. Frustrated, he lands multiple chair shots on the back of Hammerstone. With Justice distracted, Hammerstone hit him with a low blow and speared him through another ring corner table, only this one had its legs facing forward as Justice’s back landed on them. Using the metal framework of the table, Hammerstone hits his finisher, the nightmare pendulum, and gets the win with a three-count.
MLW World Middleweight Title Fight: Templario def. Ikuro Kwon
Kwon uses martial arts strikes on Templario once the bell rings. Templario tries to gain the upper hand, but Kwon is just too fast for him. After his springboard dropkick knocks Kwon out of the ring, Templario celebrates with a Lucha Spinaroonie (Lucharoonie?) before hitting the lucha hunter with a suicide dive. He tosses Kwon back in and proceeds to stomp away at him. Kwon avoids his footstomp from the top rope and lands a palm thrust to Templario’s face. With his opponent down, Kwon stands over him and strikes away at his face. Templario makes his way to the corner where Kwon continues his assault using a mix of chest chops and kicks. His in-ring beatdown of Templario continues until the luchador lands a thrust kick, forcing Kwon to respond with one of his own. He then avoids a corner splash from Templario by pulling the referee in his way, taking the official out in the process. Regardless, the match continues with Templario hitting Kwon with a GTS so devastating that it knocks him out of the ring. With no referee, Contra Unit’s Death Squad run in and stomp away at Templario. Don Gato then runs in for the save. Templario recovers using the Lucharoonie and hits Kwon with a knee to the face. He finishes the match with a powerbomb into a double knee backbreaker and gets the three count, becoming the new Middleweight champion.
MLW World Heavyweight Championship: Mads Krule Krugger def. Donovan Dijak vs Matt Riddle
Before the match can start, Krugger enters and cashes in his world title shot, making it a triple threat match. Krugger immediately chokeslams and almost wins right there, but Dijak pulls him from the ring, and the two brawl on the outside. Riddle interrupts their brawling and lands a springboard corkscrew senton on them. Riddle then throws Dijak in the ring, where he lands a senton that only receives a two count from the referee. Dijak then has his clothesline attempt reversed into an armbar within the ropes by Riddle, who is interrupted by a big boot from Krugger on the outside of the ring. Back in the ring, Dijak suplexes Riddle on top of a downed Krugger but fails to secure a three-count when pinning him. Dijak has his chokeslam attempt on Riddle reversed into an armbar. Krugger steps in, helping Dijak take down Riddle. Krugger begins to dominate, forcing Dijak to speak Riddle and slamming Riddle on top of Dijak. After a reversal from Dijak, all three of them begin to trade strikes until they’re all knocked down. Krugger and Dijak begin to recover until Krugger hits him with a fallaway slam from the top rope. Riddle takes advantage and lands a swanton on a downed Krugger, which only receives a two count from the referee. Dijak enters the ring and chokeslams Krugger while he’s chokeslamming Riddle, but also receives a two count from the referee. When all three recover, they end up in the corner with Riddle trying to German suplex Dijak from the top rope as Krugger tries to powerbomb Riddle. He succeeds, but Dijak lands on his feet in the process. While they fight, Riddle hits them both with a cutter. After interference from his manager, Saint Laurent, Dijak hits Feast Your Eyes on Riddle. The pin attempt that follows is interrupted by Krugger, who pulls Dijak to the outside. Dijak proceeds to gouge Krugger’s eyes and then hits him with his tag title belt. He returns to the ring with a moonsault that is reversed into a cutter by Riddle. Krugger recovers and slams Riddle on his face to win the match.
Once the match concluded, Krugger and Dijak brawled to the outside of the arena as security tried to separate them. Hammerstone then appeared to attack Krugger with a chair as the show went off the air.
